Bread and Tulips / Pane e Tulipani

Director: Silvio Soldini (Le Acrobate, Made in Lombardia)
Cast: Licia Maglietta, Bruno Ganz, Giuseppe Battiston
Italy/Switzerlang, 2000
Italian

Seen: Summer 2002

Reason to see: My apartment was too hot, needed to go somewhere with air conditioning.

Great Italian film about oddball people finding home with each other. The crowd in the theatre was actually shushing those of use that were laughing, and there was a lot funny in it so I found that strange. Some of the visuals seems a bit odd to me, but the rest was great. How often do you get to see a boat hotel and a sparkly accordion?

Shannon's Overall View:
I enjoyed it
I would watch it again
I would recommend it

When I read the title of this post, I didn't realize it was a film. I just thought, mm, bread and tulips - how lovely!

LOL! Sounds very much like a still life! I never thought of that!
